Job Description

The ideal candidate is a results-driven, innovative thinker with experience leading professional services teams across a broad range of digital transformation and digital technology implementation projects, encompassing multiple product and services disciplines. The candidate should have experience leading and developing multi-million-euro professional services practices, redefining service delivery models, and launching digital products and services. The Head of Digital Risk and Information Security will be expected to contribute to our customers’ data management and digital transformation initiatives with solid technical and functional expertise and leadership. As a catalyst for change, this leader must have the interpersonal skills and influencing ability to build the right relationships at multiple levels, to inject new thinking and behavior into our culture and to gain credibility as a leader within the organization.

This role reports directly into the Transcendent Group Germany’s CEO.

Responsibilities

A large part of your role will be business development. We will expect you to already have a strong network and to proactively identify opportunities, create and deliver engaging, high quality proposals and convert these opportunities into sales. You will be responsible, alongside the other department heads, for keeping the team fully utilized and for winning work that helps to grow the business. Furthermore you will have responsibility for:

  • Identifying client issues and creating tailored solutions that can benefit multiple clients
  • Developing our digital risk and information security offerings cross industry, maintaining long term relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Delivering sales into the team and for maintaining an ongoing pipeline of opportunities which continues to result in ongoing sales
  • Advocating and championing digital risk and information security to our internal network of colleagues, to our clients, and the wider market
  • Helping to attract and retain top talent
  • Contributing to the latest thought-leadership and industry research relating to digital risk and information security
  • Being a strong advocate of Transcendent Group’s culture and values

 

Skills And Attributes For Success

An existing track record of business development and sales in digital risk and data management is expected of all candidates for this role. A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous. A broad background across digital risk is expected with specific experience in three or more of the following areas:

  • Digital strategy, digital operating models, digital production and administration processes
  • Digital technology implementation (platforms and tools), system integration and connectivity, change management
  • Digital risk management, cyber risk, cloud risk, automation risk, third party risk, business continuity risk
  • Synthetic ID risk models and advanced-analytics solutions for monitoring identity risk
  • Identity and access management (IDAM), assessing current IDAM practices and designing solutions to improve JML processes, privileged access and recertification programs
  • Breach and incident management, design and implementation of breach and major incident management practices
  • Resilience, design and implementation of programs to improve IT Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity
  • Security strategy, security transformation programs, governance frameworks over processes, controls, organization and infrastructure to manage cyber security
  • Security policies and procedures, design and implementation of security policies, procedures, standards and controls in line with regulation and/or current standards, e.g., ISO27001
  • Security over operational technology and control systems (SCADA)
  • Cyber awareness programs, design and delivery of cyber security awareness programs to executive level or wider organization
  • Encryption, tokenization, masking and redaction technology solutions

 

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and a minimum of five years of experience with digital transformation, digital risk, or information security issues, with at least two years in a leadership role is preferred
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills, teamwork, and client service skills
  • Project and program related qualifications; Prince II, Scrum, Agile is a plus
  • You’ll need to be highly motivated, a self-starter and a strong communicator with the ability and experience to discuss technical content in business language to top management level. You’ll also need to be a team player who is not only looking to enhance their own career, but recognizes the value in developing others and strengthening the team
