Job Description

You are passionate about business development and have extensive experience within governance, risk and compliance.

You are highly skilled within at least one of the following areas:

  • Information and cyber security;
  • Regulatory compliance (AML/CTF, GDPR experience is preferable);
  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – from framework to risk assessment.

You have the interpersonal skills and influencing ability to build the right relationships at multiple levels, solid technical and functional experience and leadership. You will contribute to our customers by advising on and leading strategic initiatives, programs and projects, creating business value in a risk-based and agile manner. You will support our customers with proactive risk assessments and compliance reviews and/or internal audit testing.

You will report directly into the Transcendent Group Baltics’ CEO and be employed in an entity in Latvia or Estonia.

 

Responsibilities

A large part of your role will be business development. We expect that you already have a strong network and the ability to proactively identify opportunities, create and deliver engaging, high quality proposals and convert these opportunities into business. You will be responsible, alongside the other pan-Baltic consultants, for keeping the local team, including yourself, utilized and for winning work that helps to grow the local business. Furthermore, you will have responsibility for:

  • Being a strong advocate of Transcendent Group’s culture and values
  • Identifying client issues and creating tailored solutions
  • Delivering on the assignments for customers
  • Developing our governance, risk and compliance (including information and cyber security), offering cross industry, maintaining long term relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Delivering sales into the team and for maintaining an ongoing pipeline of opportunities which continues to result in ongoing sales
  • Advocating and championing governance, risk and compliance to our internal network of colleagues, to our clients, and the wider market
  • Helping to attract and retain top talent

 

Skills and Attributes for Success

An existing track record of business development and sales in governance, risk and compliance is expected of all candidates for this role. A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous.

 

Qualifications

  • At least Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, with at least two years in a leadership role is preferred.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills, teamwork, and client service skills
  • Speak and write fluently both in English and Latvian or Estonian.
  • Project and program related qualifications; Prince II, Scrum, Agile is a plus.
  • Certifications, i.e. CISSP, OSCP, CPP, CIA, CFSA, CIPP/E is an advantage.
  • You need to be highly motivated, a self-starter and a strong communicator with the ability and experience to discuss technical content in business language to top management level. You’ll also need to be a team player who is not only looking to enhance their own career but recognizes the value in developing others and strengthening the team.
